Position Title: CNC Manufacturing Engineer 1266

Description
Summary:


Responsible for supporting manufacturing CNC machining operations while continually driving improvements.





Duties and Responsibilities:


• Provide CNC programming and engineering support.


• Troubleshoot machining capability issues.


• Design special tools/cutters for new products and process improvement.


• Develop processes, routings, work instructions, fixtures, and control plans for new programs.


• Research and recommend capital equipment purchases.


• Manage multiple projects and cost, performance and delivery goals.


• Work with operators and technicians to continuously improve processes, capabilities, and efficiency.


• Schedule required meetings and collaborate with team members as needed


• Coordinate with customers and suppliers as necessary




Requirements
Skills and Abilities:


• Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing principals such as 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Standard Work, Takt Time, etc.


• Six Sigma project experience


• PPAP experience a plus


• Skill in using CAD, CAM, or similar engineering tools (Pro/E, CATIA V5, Esprit)


• Familiar with machine controls and capable of editing CNC programs


• Effective communication and presentation skills


• Strong analytical ability and initiative





Education and Experience:


• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology or Manufacturing Technology and 5yrs experience in the field.

Management experience.


Proven leadership, cross functional management and communication skills.
