Position Title: CNC Manufacturing Engineer 1266
Description
Summary:
Responsible for supporting manufacturing CNC machining operations while continually driving improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide CNC programming and engineering support.
Troubleshoot machining capability issues.
Design special tools/cutters for new products and process improvement.
Develop processes, routings, work instructions, fixtures, and control plans for new programs.
Research and recommend capital equipment purchases.
Manage multiple projects and cost, performance and delivery goals.
Work with operators and technicians to continuously improve processes, capabilities, and efficiency.
Schedule required meetings and collaborate with team members as needed
Coordinate with customers and suppliers as necessary
Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing principals such as 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Standard Work, Takt Time, etc.
Six Sigma project experience
PPAP experience a plus
Skill in using CAD, CAM, or similar engineering tools (Pro/E, CATIA V5, Esprit)
Familiar with machine controls and capable of editing CNC programs
Effective communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical ability and initiative
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology or Manufacturing Technology and 5yrs experience in the field.
